![]() This combines both defense and offense in one powerful package. Additionally, six brand new characters will be included.A Focus Attack (sometimes known as a Saving Attack) is done by pressing the Medium Punch and Kick buttons at the same time. The original eight World Warriors from Street Fighter II are present, and the remaining roster is a mix of old and new characters. Street Fighter 6 will launch with a roster of 18 playable characters. This mode will not be allowed for competitive play, and is intended to make the game accessible to casual players. Dynamic: A 4-button casual mode where different attacks come out depending on the distance to your opponent: projectiles at long range, pokes at medium range, and simple jabs & combos at short range. As this lets players output frame-perfect special moves (a significant advantage), special moves and super moves are subject to an 80% damage scaling. Different special moves are performed by holding different directional buttons while pressing special. Modern: This layout uses a single button to output special moves, i.e.This is the standard 6-button layout of punches and kicks that everybody knows. Classic: The old control method which uses motion inputs to use special moves, i.e.Street Fighter 6 will feature three different control schemes: This will likely become the main comeback mechanic of the game, though the cost of a level 3 super means that players can rarely perform it more than once per game. Players can either use several level 1 super moves in a fight, or wait until they charge their level 2 or level 3 supers which deal higher damage.Įach character also has a critical art version of their level 3 super, a higher-damage variant which becomes available when the character has dangerously low life. The super bar has 3 levels, and with each level they can perform a new and stronger super move. Burnout mode is removed once the drive gauge fully recovers.Įach character also has a super bar which fills up when they perform attacks and special moves. You also take chip damage from special moves while in this state. While in burnout you can no longer use the drive abilities above, but you can still attack or use character special moves as normal. If the drive gauge is depleted, the character ends up in burnout mode, a state of vulnerability where the opponent's attacks have additional plus-frames. It regenerates over time, and regenerates even faster if you manage to parry attacks. The drive gauge depletes while using these moves, and also depletes while blocking. Overdrive: The new name for EX moves, this is the function which lets players perform empowered versions of their character's special attacks. It deals low damage, but is a safe way to escape block string pressure. Drive Reversal: A quick get off me move which counters opponents who are trying to rushdown or frame trap.Parrying replenishes the drive gauge, but you need to have some drive stocks remaining to use it. If you do it 1-2 frames before an attack lands you get a perfect parry, which opens the opponent up for counter-attacks. Drive Parry: You can parry an attack rather than blocking it, which if done right can give you some frame advantages. It costs 1 drive stock to use raw, and 3 drive stocks when used as a combo extender or from a hit-confirm. This lets players extend their combos by linking normal moves which ordinarily wouldn't connect, or it can be used to apply block pressure more safely. Drive Rush: A quick forward dash which causes attacks to receive additional plus-frames.It can be broken with 3 quick attacks, thrown, parried, or countered with another Drive Impact. It costs 1 drive stock to perform and has level 2 armor. Drive Impact: An armored advancing attack which causes a crumple state unless it is blocked or countered.Players start with 6 drive stocks which can be spent to perform the special moves below: The Drive Gauge provides a large toolkit for players to use, and differs from previous Meter-style systems in that it starts maxed out and slowly regenerates over time. Street Fighter 6 features the most in-depth combat system of any Street Fighter title.
